My favorite recording
This is definitely the best recording of The Green Onions I've heard. The room was empty but some of the musical moments were very magical. Corkscrew did an awesome job and the recording sounds excellent.

Relaxed and focused music
Really nice taping job, corkscrew! Thanks! Too bad you missed the start, but very sweet sounding recording...
The opening of this fileset drops you into the middle of the crowd in the middle of a tune.
Crowd is respectfully quiet, almost silent. At times this sounds like a soundboard source, there is so little audience sound, but the ambience is very present. Feels like a tiny venue with just enough room to dance. ?
Music is a range from middle-of-the road (but very-well-executed) rock to covers and jamband stuff... the first song of the fileset has a fairly long space-ey jam w/ no vocals.
Bertha is not a bad version at all, important when you are covering what's practically an anthem to deadheads, but the best parts are when the band is just relaxedly noodling their way through a jam on one of their own tunes... however, the Low Spark/Funkytown/Low Spark is definitely the highlight/finale... taking their time, they really get it right.
Siren is a good example, starting out sweet and slow, with a relaxed jam and picking up drive as the guitar lead kicks in.
Reccomend you download the full lossless version while streaming it. You'll want to play this more than once, but you shouldn't wait to hear it.
Don't let this gather dust on your hard disc drive, this is music to listen to when you need to be relaxed and focused on something... which my intuition tells me you do a lot of.
[edit]: since I'm letting this play now for the third time, I'm bumping my rating to 4 and a half stars.
